Impedance tuner 2450 MHz
The impedance tuner is a waveguide component, that should be located between the microwave generator and the applicator, as close as possible to the latest one. The role of the tuner is to optimize energy transfer from generator to load.


It can be manual or automatic
In this second configuration, it consists of :
- wave guide with stubs
- electronic control

Adjustable iris
 
The variable iris is designed for the adaptation of a resonant monomode rectangular cavity of TE01x type. Coupling and position of iris are adjustable.
Together with a sliding short-circuit they allow to adjust the Q factor of the resonant cavity and the
position of the maximum electric field within the sample.
