InnoXtract Batch
Extractor combining MEA and ultrasound
The InnoXtract Batch is dedicated to the extraction of complex botanical matrices: plants, tree leaves, citrus and bark. Our combined extractor allows access to novel compounds. It integrates a compact and flexible reactor designed for process validation and industrial production. InnoXtract Batch operates with microwave technology alone or in combination with ultrasound. Our extraction system offers process flexibility to explore new extraction parameters.
Our two reference extraction systems, integrating Microwaves and Ultra-sounds, are:
- InnoXtract Batch 20 : from 3.5 l to 20l, 3 kW or 6 kW
- InnoXtract Batch 120 : from 20 l to 120 l / 6 kW or 10 kW
Other configurations are available on request.
Key features
- Microwave power : from 3 kW
- Ultrasound power at 20 kHz
- Useful volume : from 3.5 l
- Jacketed stainless-steel reactor with variable speed mechanical stirring
- Nitrogen inerting, easy filling and emptying
- Optimized for easy cleaning
The jacketed reactor enables precise temperature control of the extraction bath, preserving the quality and integrity of sensitive extracts. Microwave and ultrasound generators have no direct contact with the product.

Answers to key questions about system and SAIREM benefits.
Conventional extraction methods for plants, flowers, citrus and more require long times, especially due to the contact time between the solvent and the raw material, often taking several hours to achieve acceptable yields. In contrast, our Microwave-assisted extraction system, InnoXtract, reduces this time by directly heating the plant matrix, breaking down cell walls and releasing active compounds much more efficiently. The result is faster processing and higher yields. Sensitive compounds are preserved, and the system uses less solvent. With all these advantages, InnoXtract is an unmatched solution for extraction in cosmetics, pharmaceuticals and fragrances.
InnoXtract, an industrial extractor for cosmetics pharmaceuticals and fragrances, is based on a microwave-assisted extraction system. It reduces processing time by at least three times compared to conventional methods. In many cases, extractions that used to take several hours can now be completed in under five minutes, significantly improving throughput and reducing energy use throughout production.
Combining microwave and ultrasound in a unique extractor offers several key advantages. Microwaves directly heat the plant matrix, breaking down cell walls and releasing active compounds. Ultrasounds enhance mass transfer and extraction efficiency. Together, these technologies enable faster extractions, higher yields, better preservation of sensitive compounds, and lower solvent consumption, making it an optimal solution for industrial extraction processes. Operating both technologies within the same reactor eliminates transfer steps, reducing production time and minimizing contamination risks. It also gives the flexibility to run extractions with microwaves alone, ultrasounds alone, or both combined . The process can be adapted to each raw material and target compound.
InnoXtract requires low installation costs. It operates on a fully electricity system and a closed-loop water circuit. InnoXtract optimizes production, solvent consumption and limits maintenance costs. Overall, InnoXtract offers a faster return on investment than traditional extraction equipment.
