Industrial microwave and radiofrequency expertise – SAIREM

For over four decades, SAIREM has been developing advanced solutions that transform industrial processes across a wide range of sectors. Over time, this commitment to innovation has positioned the company among the very few worldwide mastering both microwave and radio frequency technologies. As a result, we are able to deliver reliable, high-performance systems to customers across the globe, while recommending the most relevant solution for each specific application.

Based in Lyon, France, and established in Atlanta since 2021, SAIREM operates from state-of-the-art facilities where a dedicated team of specialists continuously explores new frontiers in electromagnetic energy applications. Whether it comes to food processing or plasma generation, our expertise extends across the full spectrum of industrial thermal and non-thermal treatments, ensuring both technical consistency and process efficiency.

This approach is further reinforced by a strong R&D and engineering backbone, supported by an extensive patent portfolio and world-class testing capabilities. In parallel, ongoing research collaborations enable us to stay at the forefront of technological developments. Consequently, SAIREM equipment integrates the latest advances, while providing the reliability and confidence that stem from decades of proven expertise.

Test center

Our 400 m² microwave and radio frequency test center in France and our 300 m² test center in the USA serve as both the proving ground for new concepts and the optimization lab for customer applications. Equipped with more than 20 different systems, this facilities enable testing and development before full-scale production equipment.

The two test centers are available not only to our internal experts but also to current and prospective customers. This hands on approach removes uncertainty and builds confidence in your investment.

Research & Development

Our R&D center brings together more than 15 specialized engineers and scientists working on next-generation solutions. Located directly next to our test centers, this proximity enables rapid prototyping, real-world testing, and iterative improvements that accelerate innovation cycles.

Participating in seven international research projects, SAIREM is developing large-area CVD processes for semiconductors, creating solutions to eliminate VOC emissions from industrial facilities, and advancing methane production from natural waste materials.

Bridging research and industry

SAIREM maintains long-term collaborations with renowned institutions including Materia Nova, Maastricht university, CTCPA, ONIRIS, Université de Pau, etc. These partnerships combine academic research excellence with industrial expertise, advancing thermal processing and plasma generation technologies.

Patented technology (>12 patents)

SAIREM’s patent portfolio reflects years of development and collaboration. Our innovations include solid-state generators with proprietary auto-tune algorithms that automatically optimize energy transfer, specialized liquid applicators offering unprecedented control over fluid heating, and revolutionary plasma sources enabling previously impossible applications.
